Have you ever enjoyed such an email ? I did. Several times and with small amounts but I did. I am Belgian, in Belgium, and you will ask yourself what I am trying to do to with the fact of sending money to the USA for some American Soldiers.
Well let me tell you this : you have not the single idea about the feeling of being a former liberated country. Even those who participated in the liberation of an occupied country, the veterans, doesn’t know what this mean : being under occupation. This is a feeling that only peoples that survived this can talk about or – like for me – that parents shared about.
I am amount those Europeans that pays a visit sometime to these huge fields covered with white stone crosses to remember the price paid.
I know my English is F*G experimental but I don’t care. Thanks to the Veterans.

Thank you for supporting A Dollar To Care, Inc’s mission with your generous donation. Your valuable gift is helping us provide support for the families affected by their soldiers incarceration.

How ? Three ways in which donations are used :
Emergency relief funds-housing or vehicle repairs, unexpected medical expenses
Assistance with monthly bills-electricity, food, children’s clothing, etc.
Communication costs-money is needed to both the soldier and his family as calls average $12 per call and each must pay for postage and stationary supplies.

In partnership with donors like you, A Dollar To Care, Inc. has helped these families with two successful Fundraisers for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. We look forward to doing much more to assist these families in the near future. Our April 30th concert in Huber Heights, OH only proved that this can be done with people like yourself continuing to help us, help them.

Stepping Stones for Veterans ! Jan & Harold

Jennifer Blankenship sent me the informations about Jan and Harold Barkdull. I’ve visited the website and I am sharing this with you !

Mr. & Mrs. Harold Barkdull (Founders/Directors)
Telephone : (765) 648-1101
Fax : (765) 648-1102
332 W 11th St – Anderson, IN 46016 – ssfv332@yahoo.com

Who We Are

The purpose is to provide transitional housing to homeless and / or chemically dependent veterans, some of which have a coinciding mental illness.
Stepping Stones 4 Vet’s is a 501(c)(3) Public Charity and is required to file an IRS Form 990 or 990-EZ. (Contributions are deductible, as provided by law.

How to Help

Stepping Stones for Veterans is suffering under the weight of normal expenses such as food, electricity, gas, transportation, and building upkeep. The price of fuel has hurt our ability to take veterans to appointments, medical care, and employment. Our mode of transportation is an older Van that currently has 300,000 miles on it. Won’t you please consider donating to our organization. The greatest insult that I can imagine is to turn away veterans because we don’t have adequate funds to assist them or having to close the doors completely.

Additional Comments from the Organization

We supply the clients with a Case Manager(s) and L.M.H.C. You can not warehouse people and hope they become self-sufficient. You must have a program and staff it. With the cut-back in money for programs to teach life skills to the homeless population we must rely more and more on outside grants and donations. Please consider helping.

Is Depression a Disability ? (NAIDW) (republishing)

Saturday, September 17, 2011
posted by gunter

Major depressive disorder

Major depressive disorder (MDD) (also known as recurrent depressive disorder, clinical depression, major depression, unipolar depression, or unipolar disorder) is a mental disorder characterized by an all-encompassing low mood accompanied by low self-esteem, and by loss of interest or pleasure in normally enjoyable activities. This cluster of symptoms (syndrome) was named, described and classified as one of the mood disorders in the 1980 edition of the American Psychiatric Association’s diagnostic manual.
The term “depression” is ambiguous. It is often used to denote this syndrome but may refer to other mood disorders or to lower mood states lacking clinical significance. Major depressive disorder is a disabling condition which adversely affects a person’s family, work or school life, sleeping and eating habits, and general health.
In the United States, around 3.4% of people with major depression commit suicide, and up to 60% of people who committed suicide had depression or another mood disorder.

When I created the USVCPICE (US Veterans Contact Point and Informations Center Europe) in 1980, this was to help World War Two returning Veterans and/or Relatives. I allowed several hundred of them to locate old buddies and sometime even family members. Today the time of World War Two Veterans is almost over while Internet was created. All I am doing is free (and this is probably the reason why I never got a Certificate, a Medal or something else. It’s sad but I don’t worry about this. This USVCPICE is now online for you to use it as a Messages Board ! You can post Movies, Texts, Personals Experiences, Help Requests and even Researches for Missing Peoples.
If you can’t – send me an email and I will make this for you without any hesitation !

Release our War Heroes & A Dollar To Care

Monday, August 22, 2011

The history of Release our War Heroes from incarceration, and A Dollar To Care, Inc

My oldest son joined the Ohio Army National Guard at the age of 17. While it was a seemingly easy decision and process for him, it was quite the opposite for me. The day he left for Basic Combat Training I decided to learn everything I possibly could, being a civilian and a new Army mom, about our military since I knew very little. My father served in the Navy, my Grandfather in the Air Force, and my step dad in the Army, but I seemingly knew very little about what the particulars were.

I joined the Facebook Social Network at the beginning of 2010. Not knowing anything about the social networking site. I decided to start by searching for military groups, veterans advocates, and any military supporter I could find. My son was back from both BCT and Advanced Individual Training by then and I wanted to be able to reach out to other parents going through those feelings I had the year prior. With a deployment inevitable, I knew we could all provide support to each other during those difficult times; I had no idea what I would stumble across.

One day, I was searching up articles and I saw a piece written about M/SGT John Hatley. Intrigued, I opened the link and started reading; not knowing that day would change my life forever. I read and read, glimpsing at the extensive, flawless military service record of this man, while noticing there were several other soldiers names mentioned. I copied their names down, and continued reading Hatley’s story. My eyes felt as though they were deceiving me with what I was reading; a highly decorated war hero sitting in prison because of our flawed Catch and Release policy?

I am dropping down on my knees, both of them, and ask for apologies because I was to busy on my other website (www.eucmh.com) and I forgot to turn the conditional Capcha Spams Killer on !
So, when I got to the dashboard I found 1735 comments/spams in the queue and I had no other choice than killing them all without sorting.
This just said to let you know that if you placed a real comment in the past month and don’t see it online this is the result of my killing comments party.

For my discharge I have to say that I had a terrible period while my son and a friend got an accident in the front of our home on April 29 – both kids on a motorbike got hit from a BMW and dropped almost 75 yards away from the impact spot. Both are almost ok today, my son can keep his left foot and is going to rea beside recovering from TBI and his friend trying to comes out of a severe face trauma + severe TBI.
Now, that we are nearly breathing again on a usual way, my youngest daughter – Kimberley – is sold and got wedding next saturday.

So don’t yell at me for your erased comments, I was on another planet for several weeks.

Help Needed to Keep a Flag in the Air

My name is Terrance P. Sweeney, and I am a member of the American Legion Riders, American Legion of Ohio Post 627 of Newburgh Heights, Ohio. We have a member Ralph Tharpe whose family is in need of a Home Makeover. We have been trying to get his family on ABC Home makeover to no avail. Ralph has 5 children : 3 boys, and 2 girls, and his lovely wife Julie. During the 3 boys life growing up, in the middle of their adolescent years, all 3 boys where diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and where eventually confined to wheel chairs since then. They live in a modest, but small 2 story Bungalow that is hard to move around in for the 3 boys in their motorized chairs.
2 boys share one bedroom and the other brother has his own room. Ralph is one 12 years Army Veteran who is also 100% disabled from 3 heart attacks and 2 strokes. We strongly feel this family deserves a new makeover for their Home.
Ralph is our POW/MIA chairman. He spends allot of time away from home, and at home working on the issue of American POWs/MIAs. He informs the American Legion and the public of remains found and of their return with the issues surrounding them.

As for the house the doorways are small, the electrical needs to be updated, and the family would love to be able to sit together at a table to eat a dinner as a family. His wife Julie and his children support Ralph in his job as POW/MIA Chairman. He has received numerous awards for his dedication to God and country, and fellow serviceman goes above and beyond the call of duty. If there is anybody out there who can help us with this it would be greatly appreciated.

An Old Marines is still a Marines, Eugene ‘Gunny’ Curry

After serving in Viet Nam I returned to the states and was later diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease. A big name which simply means that I’m in the end stages of my life due to the loss of my kidneys. Still no one knows when my last days will be, except for God and only he has control of that.
I accepted this 10 years ago when I was first diagnosed. This was not a result of any wrong doing on my part, nor is it something I should be ashamed of because I did not bring this on by partying and drug use, far from it, my illness found its way into my life because I chose to serve my country 1968/69 in Viet Nam where I was contaminated with Agent Orange along with thousands of others who served during this time when our country was using this chemical in the war.

What I am experiencing now is only a step in the process that will ultimately lead to the end of my life. And everything else from here to the end is also included in the suffering one should expect with this disease. I had an interesting talk with one of the doctors on the team who are wrestling with the issues that has brought me back to the hospital this time. This morning she said she had her ideas for my health care and the other doctors on the team also had ideas.
She asked to share with her what my wishes are. I began by sharing with her much of what is written above in this note to my friends. Then in summation I said, the perfect scenario for me would be to go home stable enough to resume my current lifestyle. In their efforts to stabilize me I do not want heroics I only want to live out the rest of my days surrounded by friends and family in relative comfort. I am a blessed man, I am thankful for all the nurses and doctors who have helped me for the past 10 years and am especially thankful for my kids, my grandkids, my friends and for the love and care I am getting from Betty. All who are close to me have been through all this with me and they are all I need to the end of my journey.

Thanks and Semper Fi to all of you “Gunny”

Anyone that has Veterans’ Groups on your friends list should copy and paste this asking for support.
We are looking to get Veterans Groups to join us in our letter writing campaign on behalf of Veterans who were exposed to agent orange and would like your members to join us and participate in our various attempts to make the US Government and Media aware of the injustices given to our Veterans.
Please go to Sprayed and Betrayed on Facebook and read the stories and become friends and supporters. We are also writing to Congresswomen Michelle Bachman who wants to cut Veterans’ benefits and need support to stop yet another injustice. We are also planning a March in DC to call attention to the Veterans daily struggles. Please send your members an email to ask them to join us.
United we stand.
385 Vietnam Veterans die each day from their exposure.
Thank you.

Another Girl I like and even Love (sometime)

On Facebook I have a lot of contacts I don’t care about but I have also some great great ones, usually Womens that Do a hell of a work for our Veterans. Somme of these wonderful mamas do this work even before Soldiers are deployed as well as after they are back home.
I have already posted some text from several of them like :

Today I would like to publish a text from the most craziest, fire-tempered, lovable as well as desirable Indian girl I have ever met online : Roberta Precious-Robocop Martin. The name itself say it all.

She didn’t send me a text to publish but sometime what she puts on Facebook can hit someone so deep that she really doesn’t need to send text to anyone. Just reading her toughs is often enough for me. Today that what she said online :

« I feel the Veterans are extremely neglected and that the government as well as the People should take their heads out of their asses and realize that the Veterans should be cared for much more than just one person can do.
The memorials set up are fine and well but they are also neglected. Arlington has been neglected as well and it’s a disgrace that the men and women who bore the burden of a Nation on their backs can’t even come home to the promises they were sent with.
The government treats them and woo’s them and then once they hit boot camp even deployment they are treated like rats in a cage. After deployment they are dropped off most with no clue on how to fill out which papers to get their benefits that is IF the government decides they are worth the bennies. They are also dropped off with a pat on the back and a thanks for being our guinea pig and here’s your check for no more than a week’s stay at a hotel a shit one at that. Now when they do fill out their papers they fight for YEARS not just months or days YEARS to get them… when that’s done they get thrown out to pasture filled with so many drugs and a shrink whispering in their ear that they will be alright.

NO THEY WON’T BE ALRIGHT BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT FUCKIN EXPERIMENTS!!!
YOU PROMISED…
WE PROMISED THEM LOVE AND WHAT DO WE SHOW THEM?!?!?!
HUH ANYONE TELL ME ?

We show them that they are now expendable that they don’t matter they served their purpose and now good luck to them…

FULL OF SHIT IS WHAT I SAY!!!

Full of shit that’s how we treat them… there should be parades, a stench every Memorial Day that could be smelled from around the world… confetti in the streets every time one comes home… but no the government sweeps them under the rug or pushes them aside like some street urchins begging for crumbs of bread from the tables of the fat LEECHES called the US Government… that’s right they are fat nasty despicable leeches… »

In recent days we hear of these many cases of birds and fish are dying around us on the planet !
The latter appeared striking to the latest news, comes from Quebec itself, my country ! That’s more than 500 dead birds that fell from the sky, all in one place : St-Augustin-de-Desmeules, zone farm near Québec. Some provocative journalist has even titled his article : “It’s Raining Birds : no big deal !” This is what this reporter strongly committed to the “rationalism” written on the subject :

We have made much of several thousand birds fallen from heaven in the USA and Sweden in recent days, but we forget that cats kill each year tens of millions of birds, dozens of others kill themselves by smashing against the glass windows of large buildings.
During this period of the year, the lack of “making-money” new forces even the media to open newsletter or newspaper that are so common that some would not even qualify for a single paragraph at other times of the year.

Military Toxic Poison Test over Arkansas (?)

A shocking report prepared for Prime Minister Putin by the Foreign Military Intelligence Directorate (GRU) states that one of the United States top experts in biological and chemical weapons was brutally murdered after he threatened to expose a US Military test of poison gas that killed hundreds of thousands of animals in Arkansas this past week.
According to this report, John P. Wheeler III, Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force, Washington, D.C. from 2005-2008, when he became the Special Assistant to the Acting Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Installations, Logistics and Environment, was found brutally murdered and dumped in a landfill, and as we can read as reported by the Fox News Service :

“Delaware Police are investigating the apparent murder of a former Bush official who also championed the fund-raising effort to build the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on the Mall in Washington, D.C. Wheeler’s body was found in Wilmington on Friday.
According to police, somebody initially reported that the body was dumped out of a refuse truck, which would have been coming from Newark, onto the landfill. Newark Police spokesman Lt. Mark Farrall told Fox News that nobody had reported Wheeler missing before he was found.”
The Wilmington News Journal reported that Wheeler was last seen riding an Amtrak train from Washington to Wilmington, Del., last Tuesday.

So, the question is how – at one and the same time – we can ensure we give no quarter to terrorism and organized crime, while still advancing the liberties our society is founded upon… The British way cannot be a head-in-the-sand approach that ignores the fact that the world has changed with the advent of terrorism, which aims for civilian casualties on a massive scale and which respects not only no law, but also no recognizable moral framework. Instead, it must be an approach that is prepared to make the difficult decisions to protect our security – not by ignoring the demands of liberty but always at the same time doing everything we can to protect the individual from unfair or arbitrary treatment.

Fall Of The Republic documents how an offshore corporate cartel is bankrupting the US economy by design. Leaders are now declaring that world government has arrived and that the dollar will be replaced by a new global currency. President Obama has brazenly violated Article 1 Section 9 of the US Constitution by seating himself at the head of United Nations’ Security Council, thus becoming the first US president to chair the world body. A scientific dictatorship is in its final stages of completion, and laws protecting basic human rights are being abolished worldwide; an iron curtain of high-tech tyranny is now descending over the planet. A worldwide regime controlled by an unelected corporate elite is implementing a planetary carbon tax system that will dominate all human activity and establish a system of neo-feudal slavery. The image makers have carefully packaged Obama as the world’s savior; he is the Trojan Horse manufactured to pacify the people just long enough for the globalists to complete their master plan. This film reveals the architecture of the New World Order and what the power elite have in store for humanity. More importantly it communicates how We The People can retake control of our government, turn the criminal tide and bring the tyrants to justice.

(Agent-Orange) US Army Mass Killing Weapon

Monday, September 27, 2010
posted by gunter

Agent Orange is the code name for one of the herbicides and defoliants used by the US military as part of its herbicidal warfare program, Operation Ranch Hand, during the Vietnam War from 1961 to 1971. A 50/50 mixture of 2,4,5-T and 2,4-D, it was manufactured for the US Department of Defense primarily by Monsanto Corporation and Dow Chemical. The herbicides used to produce Agent Orange were later discovered to be contaminated with TCDD, an extremely toxic dioxin compound. It was given its name from the color of the orange-striped 55 US gallons (210 L) barrels in which it was shipped, and was by far the most widely used of the so-called “Rainbow Herbicides”. During the Vietnam war, between 1962 and 1971, the US Army sprayed 20,000,000 US gallons (80,000,000 L) of chemical herbicides and defoliants in Vietnam, eastern Laos and parts of Cambodia, as part of Operation Ranch Hand. The program’s goal was to defoliate forested and rural land, depriving guerrillas of cover; another goal was to induce forced draft urbanization, destroying the ability of peasants to support themselves in the countryside, and forcing them to flee to the US dominated cities, thus depriving the guerrillas of their rural support base and food supply.
